Catalyst quick reference

Catalyst dosage is temperature-dependent. Always perform a test mix in prevailing conditions before starting application.

Temperature range Catalyst rate Scoops per litre Accelerator
1°C – 4°C 4% 4 scoops Essential
5°C – 9°C 4% 4 scoops Recommended
10°C – 14°C 3% 3 scoops Not required
15°C – 19°C 3% 3 scoops Not required
20°C – 24°C 2% 2 scoops Not required
25°C – 30°C 2% 2 scoops Inhibitor optional
Important: Never use fewer than 2 scoops per litre in hot conditions, and never more than 4 scoops per litre in cold conditions. Accelerator must be fully mixed into resin before catalyst is added — they must never come into direct contact with each other.

Primer selector

Choosing the correct primer is straightforward. If your substrate is not listed or you are unsure, carry out an adhesion test before proceeding.

Substrate Recommended primer
Asphalt P1 Universal Primer
Concrete / screed / brickwork / masonry P1 Universal Primer
Built-up roofing felt / mineral cap sheet P1 Universal Primer
Timber (OSB) P1 SA Foil-Faced Carrier Layer (preferred) or Universal Primer
Tissue-faced insulation / Rockwool P1 SA Foil-Faced Carrier Layer
Single-ply PVC P1 SP Primer 202 (subject to adhesion test)
Single-ply TPO / EPDM P1 SP Primer 202 (subject to adhesion test)
Liquid applied coatings Subject to adhesion test — consult technical
Metals (detailing only) P1 Metal Detailing Primer
